On January 4, NSAA hosted a special launch event at the Woodlawn Public Library for its new online, self-directed technical training for Cabinetmaker (Level 1). The self-directed study program is the first to be developed as part of the Pathways Project.

The Pathways Project was established to address industry needs and to facilitate easier access to training for apprentices in eight construction and finishing trades. The new self-directed study program enables apprentices to learn at their own pace, independently, without the need to take time off from work for technical training. This flexible approach to learning benefits both the apprentice and their employer, streamlining the path to certification.

During the event, small and medium-sized enterprises in the construction and finishing trades were welcomed by opening remarks from Michelle Bussey, NSAA CEO, and introduced to the new training platform.
