Per the Agency’s Operating Charter, the Board is required to conduct an annual meeting with industry to get information and input for Agency planning and accountability. The Board holds the meeting in the fall of each year.
On November 10, 2016, more than 130 industry representatives, training stakeholders and government members attended the Nova Scotia Apprenticeship Agency's 2nd Annual Industry Meeting at the Westin Nova Scotian Hotel in Halifax. The meeting included breakfast; recognition of Employer Champions; presentation of Apprenticeship Awards of Excellence; a presentation on the Agency's strategic plan; trade-level discussions on topics such as Atlantic and National trade harmonization; specific sector and trade advisory committee work; and discussions about trade regulations.
