Andrew Lafford boasts over two decades of unwavering dedication to advancing post-secondary education. After completing his studies, Andrew embarked on a career in Software Development within the Health Services Industry, where he discovered a passion for nurturing the next generation of professionals through his knowledge, skills, and experience.
In 2007, Andrew joined the Nova Scotia Community College (NSCC) as a Curriculum Consultant, marking the beginning of an 18-year journey filled with impactful contributions. Throughout his tenure, he has held various progressive roles, each characterized by his steadfast commitment to educational excellence.
Currently, Andrew serves as the Acting Vice President, Academic at NSCC. In this role, he leads the Academic Leadership Team, which includes the deans of all schools. He is responsible for academic planning, program quality, enrollment and registrar services, and applied research and innovation.
Through his visionary leadership, Andrew continues to shape the educational landscape, equipping students with the skills and knowledge needed to thrive in an ever-evolving world.
