Now Recruiting | Trade Advisory Committees | Provincial & Atlantic

The Apprenticeship Board of the Nova Scotia Apprenticeship Agency is seeking employers and employees who are knowledgeable about the trade in question, understand the labour market, and who can commit to attending a number of meetings over a one to two year period. Expenses will be re-imbursed and members will be compensated for meetings attended.

TAC RECRUITMENT: The Board, under the Apprenticeship and Trades Qualifications Act, Regulations and Operating Charter, is inviting applications for members of PROVINCIAL Trade Advisory Committees (TACs) for the trades listed in the TACs section of the table below.

ATAC RECRUITMENT: As part of the Atlantic Apprenticeship Harmonization Project (AAHP), the Board will be inviting applications for one employer and one employee member to represent Nova Scotia on ATLANTIC Trade Adivisory Committees (ATACs). Under the authority of the Atlantic Apprenticeship Council, an Atlantic Trade Advisory Committee is responsible for providing input and recommendations to the development of harmonized apprenticeship and trade certification programs across Atlantic Canada. We will be seeking applicants to assist in the harmonization of various aspects of the trade. Applicants must possess a certificate of qualification in the trade, have a direct and current connection to the trade and Nova Scotia and be a subject matter expert in the trade. Travel, accommodations and other expenses associated with attendance at meetings will be covered by the AAHP, in addition to professional fees.
