In light of concerns around the spread of COVID-19, staff of the Apprenticeship Agency are taking direction from public health and working from home as much as possible. In order to facilitate social distancing, we are also limiting face-to-face meetings when these can be done by Skype or phone, or postponing as appropriate.
We remain open for business and all apprenticeship transactions are still being processed via phone (1-800-494-5651), email (firstname.lastname@example.org) and through our online applications (https://nsapprenticeship.ca/agency/forms-publications).
All of our Industry Training Consultants are working but limiting face-to-face interactions. A list of Industry Training Consultants can be found here: https://nsapprenticeship.ca/contact.
All technical training and examinations are deferred until further notice. We will be in contact with affected individuals when training and examinations resume. For those of you who are unable to return or continue to work, please contact Service Canada regarding your Employment Insurance (EI) claims at 1-833-381-2725 (toll-free) or by visiting https://www.canada.ca/en/services/benefits/ei.html.
If you are in receipt of funding other than EI for your technical training through Employment Nova Scotia (ENS), there is no need to contact them. Someone will contact you next week through email to provide information to you about your funding. Please note that ENS offices are open for service through phone and email at this time.
To our partners, we continue to work on industry engagement and equity initiatives where possible. Our staff will continue to engage with you through phone, email, skype, and other means as available.
In the meantime, the most up-to-date public health information on COVID-19 can be found online at http://novascotia.ca/coronavirus.
