As the labour market becomes more competitive, employers are hiring people with credentials that attest to their skills. By completing your apprenticeship program and obtaining a Certificate of Qualification, you will become a journeyperson and be recognized as a professional in your trade.

In many trades, when you obtain a Certificate of Qualification, you also get Red Seal or interprovincial status. This means your trade skills and training are recognized in other jurisdictions in Canada without further examination or testing.
